Getting Started with Meeto

This guide covers everything you need to run your first Meeto call: creating a room, sharing the link, choosing a door mode, recording with AI recaps, and setting up your personal booking page.

Step 1: Create a room

From meeto.me, click New Meeting. A room is created instantly and you're dropped straight into it — no scheduling required. Meeto runs entirely in the browser, so there's nothing to install.

Step 2: Share the link

Copy the room link and send it to your guests. They join from any modern browser in seconds — no account and no install required. By default there are no waiting rooms, so people land directly in the call.

Step 3: Choose a door mode

As the host you control how people get in. Pick the mode that fits the meeting from Host Controls > Door:

  • Open — anyone with the link joins immediately
  • Knock to enter — guests request access and you admit them one by one
  • Password-protected — guests must enter a room password

You can also lock the room mid-call, mute or remove participants, promote a co-host, or end the meeting for everyone.

Step 4: Share your screen and draw

Click Share Screen to present. While sharing, open the drawing toolbar to annotate live over the screen with a pen, shapes, arrows, and text — everyone sees your markup in real time, from desktop or mobile.

Step 5: Record and get an AI recap

Hit Record to capture video and audio in the cloud. When the call ends, the recording lands on the meeting page, ready to watch or share. Meeto also generates an AI recap automatically:

  • A searchable transcript with speaker labels
  • A concise summary of what was discussed
  • A list of action items

The recap is delivered to your inbox after the meeting, so no one has to take notes.

Step 6: Set up your booking page

Every host account gets a personal meeto.me booking page where people can book time with you directly. Configure it from Settings > Booking:

meeto.me/@yourname
  • Meeting types — define durations and descriptions (e.g. "15-min intro", "45-min review")
  • Working hours — set when you're available to be booked
  • Buffers — add gaps before and after meetings
  • Calendar sync — connect your calendars so Meeto never double-books you

Share your booking link, and guests pick a slot that fits both of you across time zones. Each confirmed booking creates a Meeto room automatically, so the join link is ready the moment the meeting starts.
